For Tom, this transformation is especially meaningful. Before founding Oak Antler Woodshop, he worked in wine cellars. Today, he continues that journey by carefully reclaiming retired wine barrel staves and transforming them into handcrafted pieces that celebrate both fine woodworking and the traditions of winemaking.

A Second Life Worth Celebrating
Every board begins with a retired wine barrel that has already lived an extraordinary life.
Each white oak stave is individually selected for its distinctive grain, wine staining, and natural character before being carefully handcrafted into a serving board. The gentle curve of the original barrel is preserved—a beautiful reminder of its previous life while naturally helping keep cheeses, fruits, crackers, and appetizers neatly contained during serving.
Years spent aging wine leave behind rich burgundy and deep purple hues that cannot be replicated, making every board a genuine piece of wine country history.
